Keeping Tyres at the Correct Pressure

Tyres need to be kept at the correct pressure to work properly. If they are deflated, this can lead to all kinds of problems. The car might not drive as well as it should, it might veer off to one side and drag when you try to steer, and it might also, over time, wear down the tyres more in certain parts, which can be very serious.

Tyres should not be under inflated, but they also should not be over inflated, as both can cause problems. The only way to know if tyres are at the correct pressure is to check on them on a regular basis. This involves testing the tyre pressure, which can be done with a gauge that is at a garage, or that a car owner might already have. If the tyre pressure is fine, nothing needs to be done. If it needs to be increased, then it can also be done so using specialist machines at a garage.
